Mens Best Ski Jackets Reviews 2013-2014

A selection of the top Men’s Best Ski Jackets for this year, a combination of technical outerwear, warmth, comfort, style and price. When selecting the best ski jacket make sure you consider where you ski most. Everyone like to be warm, so if you live on the east coast something with extra insulation is recommended while if you live on the west coast you can see massive temperature swings during the day so a jacket that you can combine with layers could be more appropriate.

Comfortable Ski Boots Solved with Intuition Liners

We have your game changing solution to warm and comfortable feet in your ski boots. Ski boots themselves are pieces of plastic engineered and pinned together to best transfer the power of your movements through to the skis. However, designers often cut corners on the quality of their liners in order to keep “the boot” prices competitive. If you spend a handful of days on the slopes every season, we strongly recommend you find yourself a comfortable liner. After years of searching and trying custom injected foam liners, look no further, Intuition Liners has come to the rescue.

Find the best skis for you

Our unique ski finder program allows you to find the best skis for you. If you are new to the sport or a seasoned shredder the choices can be daunting, with so many options, people often refer to ski shops as a “sea of top sheets”. Graphics are cool, but it is what’s inside that counts. Too many skiers are often trapped by what people recommend but that is not necessarily the best option for you. It is important to consider where you will be skiing, your experience level and what type of skiing you do.

Best Men’s Ski Gloves and Mittens Top Reviews 2013-14

A selection of the best men’s ski gloves available this season. We’ve gathered feedback on this years stock and found that there are some good options. In general, people still prefer the leather glove as the softer fabric provides more dexterity and is softer when wiping the powder shots off your face. Quality is important as a good glove can last more than a few seasons if they don’t fall apart. Expect to pay over $100 for the perfect pair and slightly less if you can find some on sale.

Women’s Best Ski Helmets Reviews 2013-2014

A selection of the top Women’s helmets for this year. Since you are reading this post I already feel better, gone are the days of skiing in that beanie or bomber hat. The equipment has transformed and you can now hold an edge at 80mph or find yourself miles away in the backcountry with relative ease. A helmet is the best insurance policy you can buy and every skier should have one. Because they aren’t the sexiest purchase you will make we’ve made the process a whole lot easier by sorting through the sea of options and picking out the best for you…

Best Mens Ski Helmets Reviews 2013-2014

A selection of the top Men’s helmets for this year. Listen, helmets aren’t the most exciting piece of equipment to buy. Unlike skis they will not make you ski better, but you need one and it certainly will allow you to go faster (and be safer). A good helmet can be found for under $100 but like anything in this sport you can easily spend upwards of a few hundred dollars on aerospace materials and audio systems. So for helmets, there is no one size fits all but buyers should focus on fit, style, safety records and warmth. For helmets, I prefer to buy from name brands who have the R&D budgets to properly design and test the materials.

Men’s Best Ski Pants Reviews 2013-2014

A selection of the top Men’s Ski Pants for this year. Give these top selections a try, a combination of technical outerwear, warmth, comfort, style and price. Some insulated. Some not. In general, I prefer pants with bibs or suspenders to those without for overall warmth and comfort when skiing, so I organized these reviews into two categories (Pants with Suspenders and Regular pants) If you like to go deep and get big angles out on the slopes (or eat a massive lunch) you may appreciate the higher cut so feel tight in the midriff. When choosing pants it is important to consider insulation vs. waterproof fabric. If you are going to go waterproof, make sure they are breathable. With regards to price, unfortunately good ski pants aren’t cheap and expect to pay a few hundred dollars for a top of the line pair.

Womens Best Ski Pants Top Recommendations 2013-2014

A good ski pant is hard to find but once you do skiers tend to stick with that pair for multiple seasons. The styles and colors will change but it is important to determine the technical attributes you want in your pants and then narrow down the selection. For one, its never fun to have a soaking wet rear on the chairlift so make sure you find something well insulated or else plan to wear a thick long john. Bib suspenders or no suspenders is a personal choice but most people prefer a pant that comes up high enough to keep their skin covered at all times. Prices vary but as I mentioned if you plan to ski more than a handful of days each year, you need a high quality pair. Below our SkiGenie’s selection of top women’s pants for this season. As always, contact us if you have any questions or comments. Think snow.

Big Papi’s Champagne Goggles

The sox did it again and for the third time this decade they were crowned world champs. Growing up in Boston, I will always enjoy the years when watching the sox in late October keeps me occupied until the snow starts to fly. Well nothing reminded me more of ski season being around the corner than Boston’s David Ortiz tossing on a helmet and goggles for the victory parade.
