With 5,289 acres of skiable terrain, seven back bowls and a relatively even mix between beginner, intermediate, advanced and expert terrain, Vail offers something for everyone. Intermediates love the wide, blue groomed trails in the front side of the mountain, and experts head to the Back Bowls and Blue Sky basin for lift-serviced backcountry access. The resort sits at a base elevation of 8120 feet. Compared to most Colorado resorts, this slightly lower elevation might make it easier for sea level visitors to acclimate.
