Why does Warner love skiing?

There is nothing like the raw exhileration of linking turns together.

Goals for the season?

1) Have fun; 2) link together the best turns I possibly can from top to bottom; 3) feel like I can win in the starting gate.

Hobbies?

Sailing, water skiing, wake boarding, road, mountain and trials biking, golf, and anything outside

Best Moment?

Scoring points in Beaver Creek in 2011 with my family and friends in the crowd.

Warner Nickerson was nicknamed the dark horse of the U.S. Ski Team as he climbed up through the NCAA ranks as a star for Colby College and eventually ended up competing on the World Cup stage for a number of years after graduation. His successful career was filled with ups and downs but Warner always fought to be the best with what Bode Miller described as determination and a big heart. He grew up racing for Gunstock Ski Club and trained with the best skiers and skiing confidants such as Jon Olsson. Not only does Warner love the sport of skiing but he also embraced the emblematic skier lifestyle and traveled throughout Europe from ski race to ski race in a pimped out camper. Warner recently became famous for his victory at the Red Bull Homerun endurance race and we will certainly see more of Warner as he contributes to skiing’s history and legacy on and off the slopes. For the best ski equipment, true to his all or nothing style, Warner recommends stiff carbon boots, fast skis and plenty of back and head protection for the ride.
